Microsoft Works Spreadsheet Is Driving Me Crazy!

(As it should.) I can't open it with OpenOffice. What in the world is it doing?

See update at the top of this post. So why can’t Excel see the 1354.80 value in the figure? Excel is displaying cell C16 with a currency symbol and a comma, and in order to find the cell, you have to search for I use Excel everyday and have never had this happen. There are important settings hiding behind the Options button. This is driving me insane, is there any way to make it real easy to open these WPS files in Word?!? This worked perfectly! get redirected here CFO contributor Bill Jelen.

After doing a bit of a search, I also found this thread on Microsoft Answers where a recent post by Angloblaxon gives a registry-based solution. But when you understand it, you can work around it. Step 3 Now you will have a dialog that reads “Windows can’t open this file: ….” It’ll continue, saying, “To open this file, Windows needs to know what program you want Converting each individually is not a feasible option.
