Media Player Won't Play Recorded TV
Supporting Emby, Kodi/XBMC/OSMC, Plex, Windows Media Center, and more! The audio is fine for any programs streaming online, but I cannot get audio on live or recorded TV. It seems all four are converted but I can't play the other two. when i try to play the file in wmc i get the following message: copying prohibited the broadcaster prohibits this content from being copied. There, you can take WMV as your output video format. Don't think that makes any difference but the difference between playing or not playing .wtv files seems to be related to which tuner I'm using. I am working on IOS Yosemite.
It says the file format is not supported or the file is corrupt. Sure you can fairly easily remove the protection by converting the files, but then YOU are liable and not MS. further testing showed that all of my .dvr-ms and .wtv files play fine in both MPC-HC and WMP, but get the video decoder error when played from inside 7MC.
