Media Center Will Not Start (MCE2004)
SP2 broke Media Center for me (and for several others, from what I see here...). Therefore everytime I go to Live TV, MCE sets up to start recording and runs into the corrupt file(s) and mysteriously concludes that it has no more hard disk space.I would The option will be greyed out. My Media Center would not start without the usual error of EHSHELL.EXE error. The restore options after pressing F11 had the option of 1 for restore or 2 for system repair. I then used the MCE2005 that come with our Microsoft Action Pack to upgrade it. You should be good to go.
If it is, and it just "lost" the partition, that is the possibility of being able to put it in another computer, perform a quick format, and then run data recovery. I would say the pc is like 6-7 years old HP running window xp mce.
