Is there any way to manually install the Rovi update.
It immediately skips to telling me to check my hardware through the control panel. My work around has fixed the guide on two PC's with different video cards. I downloaded from another source that someone linked in the comments on Monday afternoon. Rovi Guide Listings Does it work? - Duración: 29:11.
For now… it appears that I'm now going to be getting many duplicates from reruns despite still having them recorded. (It doesn't recognize the previously recorded shows as being the same.) Still no joy in Houston. Suggestions: For Microsoft on this issue going forward it's critical to the user community that the guide data is available for all locations. I went ahead and ran through the whole WMC setup, My OTA channels work fine in the guide, however; not so much for the cable channels in the guide. Then re-try and see if it tries Rovi. Apparently the new guide has the old frequencies for some of the channels.
The Guide downloads just fine; but when I try to use it, I get the "No data available". It doesn't make sense for Microsoft to use multiple providers to get essentially the same data, so starting today Microsoft is converging their guide data. I'm slowly fading. WMC is predominantly used for Emby but yet to download. My zip 32835 didn't work. 32836 works. Don't worry, I will only give up when I have completely run out of resources for help and we are not there yet.
