I tried to restore to an earlier date and it still does not work. You probably have file system type errors or a failing hard drive. I had this problem in the past also, i've reinstalled my > operating (files & software) system many times. You can download FreeFixer here.

You could try uninstalling CCC if that applies. Click your Start button and go to Run. If your media center partition is corrupt, you would have to do a repair install. I did nothing as far as I am aware - no new installations.
