Media Center 2005 Will Not Update?
Based on post elsewhere, "added missing channel" to guide. 8.1 now appears in the guide but "no data available" shows. Was it a fairly seamless transition, or were you unable to get the appropriate channel line-up? I get all the channels but I do not get the ability to attempt to download the guide. For some people, you won't need to take any action at all, but for others you will. Windows Media Center Guide Not Updating
This blog post will provide the steps that I used for this workaround and suggestions for this issue going forward. I tried surrounding zips and I tried zips in Chicago and even New York areas and no matter what zip code I tried, the download failed. For me, in Houston, TX, zip code 77054 was the winner, even though my zip code is 77071. Reply Tammy July 24, 2015 Thank you…I will give this a try.

Progressive_Joe This was a glitch in the transition from Zap2it to Rovio as the listings provider. Us on ota antenna on win 7. Get the idea?Then go to Windows update by using the start menu. So I click on the Download button, and a few seconds later I get the message "Guide Listings were downloaded successfully." But, for each TV channel listed, it says "No Data
The amount of data you receive shouldn't change either. Up until now, the company line from MS Support has been that a clean install of Windows was needed in order to fix the issue. With XP coming up on its third birthday and Longhorn still around two years away, Microsoft will throw a lot of marketing weight behind the release.
