What other requirements do you have. Then I suppose it wouldn't be a problem in this case, would it? At present you apparently don't have much of a backup due to wanting something perfect. In those moments having a backup is crucial.

This is to sync my NAS with two separate hard drives... It supports tapes, autoloaders and libraries - and has very good bare-metal recovery. It has saved me on one occasion, but it required 2 calls to tech support because recovering from bare metal is insanely difficult compared to other software I have used. And as Glen mentioned, the tutorials on their site are very easy to follow.
We've not used tape for years, I shudder at the thought of doing a recovery from tape these days!! Programs like AlohaBob's have studied the profiles for various supported programs, but since they vary from one to another, there can be no general approach to doing this. I use Time Machine which backs up to my WD MyCloud. It was cheap software, but to this day, I still dont have full confidence that it actually will work if sh*t hits the fan.
