Lenny, it could be related to the FAT32 file system and the size of the partition. I modified my imageres.dll file to change my startup sound and this odd behavior is the result. Congrats on the new Mac—but yes, I can see how it might be a bit odd that there's no "Macintosh HD" icon sitting on your desktop. It's not cheap, but it will give you the best chance of success. get redirected here
